Slide shows that illustrate our "best practices" procedures:

Cam installation

Use a bearing knife to remove a high spot on the bearing.

A light scotch brite is used to provide a rough polish on the surface of the cam bearing.

A paper towel can be used to remove debris.

Using a piece of folded newspaper to polish the cam bearing.

Prepping the cam for installation. I use 800 grid sandpaper and lightly debur all lobes and journals.

Use a soft brush to remove all debris.

Rinse thoroughly and blow dry.

Closely inspect to be certain all burrs have been removed.

Take the time to carefully insert the cam.
